A Celebration of Changemakers: Honoring Community Leaders in Hampshire

In a heartening initiative, the Hampshire Changemaker Awards 2026 are set to honor local individuals, organizations, and businesses that are making significant contributions to their communities. This year marks the second edition of the awards, which celebrate exceptional social change across the county.

A Glimpse into Positive Change

Organized by Action Hampshire in collaboration with Hampshire County Council and several local media outlets, the Changemaker Awards aim to spotlight those who are making a positive impact in various fields, including health, environmental sustainability, and youth leadership. Nicky Judd, CEO of Action Hampshire, expressed excitement about recognizing the tireless efforts of community members, stating, "We are thrilled that our Changemakers awards will once again celebrate the incredible work being achieved by the voluntary sector in Hampshire."

Success Story: Broadleaf's Journey

Among the noteworthy past winners is Clare Canning, whose organization, Broadleaf, received the Changemaker of the Year award in 2025. Broadleaf serves as a nurturing hub for home-educated children, creating a safe and inclusive environment. Clare reflected on the recognition's impact, saying, "It was such an enormous honour to win the award this year (2025), and it has really helped carry us all through when things have been tough."

Looking Ahead to the Awards Ceremony

The 2026 awards ceremony, which has reached full capacity due to overwhelming nominations, will take place in Winchester on January 29. It promises to be an inspiring event, championing those whose dedication and resilience drive social change in Hampshire.
