After receiving a frantic call regarding her health, they rushed her to Gloucester Royal Hospital, where scans confirmed the severity of the situation. Isabella was transferred to the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, where she underwent emergency surgery.
Throughout her recovery, Isabella demonstrated remarkable resilience. Despite the fear and uncertainty, she emerged victorious from not one, but two surgeries, showcasing the strength that has now inspired her father to take on a half marathon for charity.

Marcos is not an experienced runner—having never run more than 10 kilometers before—but he is motivated by the care and support his family received during a critical time. "It had to be Bristol. After everything we went through here, it just felt like the right race to do," he commented on his choice of event.
