Last Saturday, around 5 PM, Gottinger noticed the moose, which had been stranded in the ice since the morning. Rather than continuing with his job, he made the decision to help the creature. “I can’t leave him,” he recalled thinking. His clients, understanding his priorities, were supportive as he paused his work for this unexpected but urgent rescue.

With the assistance of neighbors who came to help, Gottinger devised a plan to free the moose. He skillfully maneuvered his tow truck, utilizing a winch to safely lift the moose from the ice.
