Rescuers from Humane World for Animals, alongside the Runnels County Sheriff’s Office, arrived to save not just Dobby but over 70 animals from that harrowing situation, including dogs, chickens, and even a cat.
After being rescued, Dobby woke up in a safe and clean environment, beginning her healing journey amidst care and affection from her rescuers. Her transformation started immediately as she received treatment for her mange, an ailment common among the rescued animals.
A New Life with Haily
As fate would have it, Haily, a graphic designer with a soft spot for animals, heard of Dobby's plight and traveled two hours to meet her. The connection between them was instantaneous, and Haily adopted her, renaming her “Misty” to signify a fresh beginning. On her first night at her new home, Misty exhibited an unexpected burst of joy, prancing around and quickly bonding with Haily's other dog, Ozwald. Over time, Misty not only gained weight but her coat began to grow back, signaling her recovery from the harrowing experiences of her past.
