A Night to Celebrate Women's Empowerment and Collaboration

In an inspiring move to acknowledge International Women’s Day 2026, Metquarter, Everyman Cinema Liverpool, and the Girls With Dreams Club are set to host a remarkable evening of empowerment and collaboration. The event will take place on Thursday, March 5, at 6pm, featuring a panel discussion, audience Q&A, and a screening of the film "Barbie."

Empowering Conversations with Role Models

Hosted by presenter Gemma Cutting, the evening promises to be a beacon of inspiration as two dynamic mother-daughter duos take the stage. Liverpool-based entrepreneurs Angela and Harriet Maguire, founders of The Event Agency, will share their journey from launching their business to becoming leaders in the events planning industry. Joining them are Pauline Fleming and Cornelia Nelson, co-founders of Depth Training CIC, a community interest company focused on transforming communication through performance and storytelling.

Bridging Generations and Inspiring Change

The 30-minute panel discussion will invite guests to engage with the panelists about their experiences, emphasizing the importance of women supporting one another across generations. This initiative is more than just an event; it aims to inspire the next generation of girls to embrace their potential and pursue their dreams.

Support for Future Generations

Additionally, a portion of ticket sales will be donated to the Girls With Dreams Club, furthering their mission to empower young girls through future programs and workshops. Visitors can enjoy an enriching evening for just £16.45 plus booking fee, which includes a complimentary bottle of branded water and popcorn.

Jennina O’Neill, Centre Manager at Metquarter, expressed her enthusiasm, noting the importance of championing independent businesses and the collective support for aspiring female entrepreneurs. Nicola Byrne, Co-Founder at Girls With Dreams Club, echoed these sentiments, highlighting the significance of cross-generational leadership and collaboration in fostering women’s success.

This event stands as a celebration of women's achievements while paving the way for a brighter future, encouraging open dialogue and mentorship among aspiring young women.
