Celebrating Inclusivity Through Music: Worcestershire Inclusive Choir Shines at Creative Arts Festival

The Worcestershire Inclusive Choir is set to take center stage today at the Worcestershire Creative Arts Festival, showcasing the power of music as a means of inclusion and expression. The choir, which includes young people aged 25 and under from various backgrounds, is run by Severn Arts in collaboration with Soundabout. Co-leader Gareth Hughes highlights the significance of empowering individuals through music: "It's the most beautiful thing that we can do is to give people the chance to either sing or use a sound that they feel comfortable with, whatever the instrument." During the festival, the choir will perform "Glow," a song specially created by emerging leaders at Soundabout. Hughes remarks, "We like to make this piece very visual... we can make music that's not just audio, but also visual and sensory."
