A new nationwide initiative, the Community Care Fund, has been launched to bolster local projects aimed at making significant improvements in people's lives. This initiative invites public participation, allowing community members to nominate projects within Wiltshire that they believe warrant funding and attention.

Funding for Meaningful Community Projects

The Community Care Fund encourages a variety of submissions—from enhancing local parks to revamping pre-school play areas and upgrading facilities at community centers. According to Caremark CEO David Glover, the fund is a means of recognizing the impactful local projects that often work quietly to improve quality of life. Glover remarked, “At Caremark, we see every day how powerful local projects can be in bringing people together and improving quality of life.”

A Platform for Local Voices

This initiative not only aims to provide financial support but also seeks to give community members a voice. Glover expressed a desire to hear about inspiring projects that may not always garner public attention, stating, “We want to hear about them.” The flexibility of the fund allows for a diverse array of projects as long as they deliver clear benefits to the local community.

How to Participate

With three grants of £3,000 each up for grabs, community members are encouraged to submit their nominations online with a brief description of their project and a supporting photograph. The submission process culminates in a public vote to determine the winners from 12 regional finalists, making it an inclusive and engaging way for communities to support one another.

The deadline for nominations is set for midnight on May 31, 2026, and Caremark is poised to spotlight grassroots innovations that can engender meaningful, lasting impacts within their communities. This initiative promises to transform lives across the UK, fostering a spirit of collaboration and support at the local level.
