The grant will facilitate access to the myHappyMind programme, which has been commissioned by the NHS. This initiative is designed to equip young people with essential skills in mental wellbeing, resilience, confidence, and self-esteem. Charlotte Castle, the Deputy Headteacher and Inclusion Manager, expressed pride in the school's ability to create a supportive environment for children, stating, "Our school is a space where children truly feel supported."
Innovative Support Tools
With the introduction of myHappyMind, both the school and its on-site nursery will benefit from additional mental health resources. These resources include an NHS-backed curriculum tailored for pupils, a wellbeing app for parents, and an exclusive programme aimed at staff. The initiative also empowers select pupils to become "Happiness Heroes," providing peer support for mental health during school hours.

One student who received training as a My Happy Mind ambassador remarked, "The training has been really fun. I think it’s important for everyone to feel happy, and I’m excited to help my friends and class feel good every day."
