Exciting Feel Good Festival to Brighten Your Day in Exeter!
On May 16th, the vibrant city of Exeter will come alive with positivity at the upcoming Feel Good Festival. Scheduled to take place at the Wonford Community and Learning Centre and Wonford Playing Fields from 11am to 2pm, the event promises an array of activities aimed at fostering health and wellness in the community.
Community Support and Free Activities
Organized by the community group Wonford Health Matters, in collaboration with the Wonford Community and Learning Centre, the festival has received a generous £900 grant from the Exeter City Council. This funding is instrumental in making the festival a free event, ensuring that it is accessible to all.
Attendees of all ages will enjoy a variety of free activities, including guided walks, exercise classes, and complimentary therapies. The festival will feature face painting, a bouncy castle, football sessions with the City Community Trust, and an engaging Double Elephant Print Workshop, among many delightful offerings.
A Focus on Wellbeing
Central to the Feel Good Festival's mission are the five ways to wellbeing: connect, keep active, learn/create, give, and take notice. Organizers are committed to showcasing these principles through taster sessions, demonstrations, and valuable information from various local groups and services that promote overall health.
This event not only aims to entertain but also to educate participants on how to connect with others and nature, with a focus on maintaining health and wellness. The festival is set to be a day full of fun, learning, and community spirit, encompassing everything that makes Exeter a great place to be.
