Exciting New Discoveries at Redmoor: A Mineral Treasure Trove Awaits
The mineral exploration industry is buzzing with excitement following the recent announcement from Strategic Minerals plc regarding their Redmoor Tungsten-Tin-Copper Project in Cornwall, UK. The results from the latest drilling, particularly drillhole CRD037, have confirmed the presence of high-grade tungsten, tin, and copper deposits, lighting the path for potential future economic extraction.
Positive Exploration Results
CRD037 successfully intercepted a central portion of the high-priority exploration target, unveiling significant mineralization characterized by tungsten-dominant and tin-dominant zones that also contain copper. This drilling campaign is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to enhance the mineral resource base at Redmoor, previously identified in the 2019 JORC Exploration Target.
High-Grade Mineralization Continues to Impress
The assay results showcase an impressive continuous zone of mineralization with notable results including 2.06% WO3 over a 0.85m interval and 2.57% Cu over a 1.00m section. Additionally, silver mineralization was also confirmed, which is an exciting development for the project’s overall potential. These results are of profound importance as they could significantly augment the forthcoming Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), to be released later this year.
A Bright Future for Redmoor
Both Mark Burnett, Executive Director of Strategic Minerals, and Dennis Rowland, Managing Director of Cornwall Resources, expressed optimism regarding the continuity of mineralization and its implications for future drilling programs. With further drilling planned and expected results from additional drillholes in the pipeline, the company is optimistic about defining more significant mineral resources, positioning Redmoor as a noteworthy asset in the European tungsten market.
This development is not only a win for Strategic Minerals but also a potential boon to the local economy, showcasing Cornwall's rich mineral heritage and contributing to the region's aspirations for sustainable growth and job creation. As the exploration progresses, the mining community will be closely watching how these promising results unfold, potentially marking a pivotal moment for mineral extraction in the UK.
