This inspiring outdoor festival, delivered by UKEL, aims to highlight the importance of elite sports and arts, particularly focusing on the contributions of disabled and neurodivergent individuals. As part of the UK Sport's major events strategy, "Making Live Sport Matter," the event not only emphasizes competition but also strives to deliver a lasting social impact in Liverpool.
Collaborative Efforts to Foster Inclusion
In collaboration with Arts Council England, the festival will feature a vibrant lineup of performances from leading disabled and neurodivergent artists. The event is poised to be a week-long celebration, coinciding with the preparations for the LA 2028 Paralympic Games, and will take place at iconic venues throughout the city, including the M&S Bank Arena and the Pier Head.

A specialist Stakeholder Board will be established to ensure that the strategic goals of the festival are met. This board will comprise representatives from Liverpool City Council, UK Sport, Arts Council England, and Paralympics GB, as well as independent members like experienced para sport athletes and disabled artists. Additionally, a Creative Producer will be recruited to lead the artistic direction of the festival, ensuring that the event remains bold, inclusive, and focused on the community it serves.
