For the first time, Durlston Castle will host the thrilling BritRock Film Tour this January, bringing excitement and inspiration to climbing enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike. Now entering its twelfth year, BritRock showcases some of the UK’s finest new climbing and adventure films, set to take place on January 27.

A Landmark in Climbing Heritage

Durlston Country Park, known for its iconic climbing routes including “Subliminal”, “Lighthouse Cliff”, and “Cattle Troughs”, stands as a significant site in the climbing heritage of Purbeck. This film tour is expected to unite elite athletes with everyday climbers for a night filled with adventure and motivation.

Inspiring Stories and Epic Adventures

Among the film highlights is “Big Walls and Bedtime Stories,” which follows seasoned climber Leo Houlding alongside his wife, Jess, and their children as they navigate the challenges of scaling El Capitan while managing home-schooling in a unique and humorous setting. Additionally, “Little Wings” portrays Tina Breslin's inspiring journey through climbing after her ADHD diagnosis, showcasing the transformative power of sport and support from loved ones.

Celebrating UK Trad Climbing

The tour will culminate with the remarkable 60-minute film “Trad Stars,” which spotlights the rich history, vibrant characters, and scenic landscapes that define UK trad climbing.
