Hope Surges as Critically-Endangered White Abalone Spotted After Five Years!
In a remarkable turn of events, the white abalone, a Critically-Endangered species of sea snail, has been rediscovered off the coast of California after a lengthy absence of five years. This inspiring sighting, part of the Wanted Alive! White Abalone campaign, underscores the importance of community involvement in wildlife conservation.

The rediscovery of the white abalone, known for its striking appearance and vital role in marine ecosystems, came thanks to dedicated efforts from scientists aboard the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) research vessel Shearwater.
