Recently, the Cleethorpes and District Swimming Club (CADs) had the honor of hosting elite swimmers Greg Butler and Joe Litchfield for an inspirational evening at the Lincs Inspire’s Grimsby Leisure Centre. This event was a unique opportunity for young athletes from North East Lincolnshire to gain valuable insights into the world of professional swimming, fostering dreams and aspirations in future stars.

As part of the evening's agenda, both Litchfield and Butler shared their personal journeys, emphasizing the critical attributes of discipline, resilience, and mental strength needed for success in competitive swimming. Joe Litchfield, a two-time Olympian decorated with multiple European and World Championship medals, inspired young swimmers by discussing the importance of staying focused on future goals amid the inevitable challenges of a sports career.
