Local bus drivers, engineers, cleaners, and support staff were honored for their steadfast commitment to public service, celebrating milestones of 20 to 40 years of service.

Honoring Long-Service Colleagues

The prestigious ceremony took place at the Belton Woods Hotel and Spa, where colleagues were recognized for their unwavering efforts in keeping public transportation accessible to local residents. Notably, Gordon Johnson and Robert Scott were celebrated for an impressive 40 years of service, embodying the dedication that defines Stagecoach East Midlands.

Shining Stars of the Month

Throughout the year, several employees were recognized as “Stars of the Month.” From this talented pool, Derreck Smith was awarded Employee of the Year for his extraordinary compassion and professionalism in a critical situation, highlighting not just the operational excellence but also the profound impact that team members have on the community.

A Commitment to Charity

The awards evening also featured a Charity Raffle supporting Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity, demonstrating Stagecoach East Midlands’ commitment to giving back. So far, they've raised £3,789.52 for the charity, showcasing how this organization extends its mission beyond transportation to enriching the lives of children in need.
