Join the Celebration: Inverclyde Whisky Festival Reports Unprecedented Success!

The recent Inverclyde Whisky Festival was nothing short of a joyful spectacle, bringing together hundreds of whisky enthusiasts for an unforgettable experience. Held at the Tontine Hotel, the event was organized by local businessman Ryan McKellar and attracted around 450 attendees over two engaging sessions at the end of last month.

Festival Highlights

With nearly 30 exhibitors and 150 different drams available for sampling, guests indulged in a rich variety of whisky offerings. The event not only showcased regional distilleries but also highlighted a commitment to enhancing the visitor experience with the introduction of three exclusive masterclasses. These intimate sessions allowed participants to engage closely with the sponsoring distilleries, Unkiltered Spirits and Turntable Spirits.

Looking Ahead

McKellar shared his enthusiasm about the festival, declaring it a great success as he noted the positive feedback received from participants. With such encouraging responses, he's already set the date for the next Inverclyde Whisky Festival, scheduled for the last Saturday of January 2027. This early planning highlights McKellar's dedication to providing an even better experience for festival-goers in the future.

Community and Engagement

In addition to the whisky festival, McKellar is also set to participate in the forthcoming Inverclyde Gin and Spirit Festival on August 15. These events not only celebrate local spirits but also foster community engagement and support for local businesses.

This year’s festival not only brought joy and camaraderie among whisky lovers but also underscored the vibrant culture of Inverclyde. The festival’s success reflects a positive outlook for community events and local heritage, inviting both tourists and residents to connect and appreciate what the region has to offer.
