Local Hero Sherylann Thompson Hosts Inspiring Charity Fundraiser
In a remarkable display of community spirit and resilience, Sherylann Thompson is set to host a 2000s themed fundraiser in Prestwick, aimed at supporting two vital local charities. This event not only promises a nostalgic evening of entertainment but also serves as a beacon of hope and inspiration for those in need.
Empowering Others Through Personal Experiences
Sherylann, who has personally benefited from the services of South Ayrshire Women’s Aid and Megan’s Space, is determined to give back and uplift others who have faced similar challenges. Reflecting on her journey, she shared, "I have been an attendee at Women’s Aid twice in my life and they got me in touch with Megan’s Space. In turn, they got me a therapist skilled in my type of trauma, which has helped me to understand my complex trauma and start processing them." Her commitment to these charities stems from a place of personal growth and healing, showcasing how her experiences have ignited a passion for helping others.
Creating a Positive Impact in the Community
The fundraiser is scheduled to take place at the Bellrock in Prestwick tomorrow night, promising a night filled with fun and meaningful engagement. With more than £1,000 already raised for these causes, Sherylann hopes to further amplify the voices of both charities, which will also be present at the event to share their mission and impact. "The event is a 2000s theme charity night, and both South Ayrshire Women’s Aid and Megan’s Space are coming along to speak about their purpose and how the money being raised will help them continue their important work," she explained.
Join the Cause and Make a Difference
As excitement builds around the event, attendees can look forward to a night of activities designed not only for entertainment but also to encourage self-love and support among women in the community. With Sherylann's platform, Healing, Growing, Understanding, she has been documenting her journey and advocating for those dealing with similar struggles, particularly in relation to chronic pain issues.
This fundraiser not only provides a fantastic night out but also a chance to contribute to organizations that play crucial roles in improving the lives of vulnerable individuals. Tickets for the event, which starts at 6 PM, can be booked by emailing sherylann_@hotmail.co.uk. Join Sherylann in her mission to spread hope, healing, and community spirit.
