Major Infrastructure Developments Boosting Connectivity Ahead of Noida International Airport

The Noida Authority is making significant strides toward enhancing the region's infrastructure with plans to develop a 10-lane Yamuna Pushta corridor and elevated roads. This initiative comes in anticipation of increased traffic flow expected once the Noida International Airport becomes operational.

Expansion of the Yamuna Pushta Road

The primary objective of the infrastructure project is to upgrade the Yamuna Pushta road, which currently connects Noida Sector 94 to Sector 150. The road will be transformed into an 8–10 lane corridor, allowing for smoother traffic flow. Initially, it will be constructed as a six-lane road, with provisions for future expansion, addressing the urgent need for improved connectivity due to rising congestion levels.

Elevated Roads and New Links

In addition to the upgrade of the Yamuna Pushta road, Noida Authority is also working on the development of the Chilla elevated road and a new link that will connect the Mahamaya Flyover to the Pushta road. This multi-faceted approach is expected to ease traffic movement across crucial routes in the region.

Benefits for Commuters

The proposed six-lane elevated road is particularly noteworthy, as it will stretch over 31.2 kilometers from the Okhla Barrage near Sector 94, running alongside the Yamuna embankment, crossing the Hindon River before seamlessly linking to the Yamuna Expressway near Gharbara village. This new route will offer a direct path from Delhi to Jewar Airport, significantly reducing travel times and alleviating congestion on existing roads.

Future Outlook

Almondz Global Infra is tasked with conducting the feasibility study for these developments, which are set to be completed within 24 months. As construction progresses, the region is poised for transformative changes in transportation that not only facilitate easier travel for residents but also support economic growth driven by the new airport.
