New Bakery Sparks Joy in Ilkley: A Community Celebration
Three Little Birds Bakery has officially opened its new shop in Ilkley, marking a significant milestone for the local community and small businesses alike. On opening day, the bakery welcomed a long line of eager customers who were delighted to get their hands on a tempting array of baked goods, showcasing the area's strong support for independent retailers.
The Grand Opening
The excitement was palpable as customers began queuing outside the bakery from as early as 8:30 am on Saturday, July 25. The first 20 customers were rewarded with special goodie bags, making the event even more memorable. Within hours, the bakery had sold out of its entire stock of freshly baked items, including their celebrated cupcakes, cookies, and macarons.
A Growing Business
This new location marks the bakery's second shop, following the success of its Keighley branch, which opened earlier this year. Owner Rebecca Severs expressed her gratitude and enthusiasm for the overwhelming response from the Ilkley community, stating, “The positivity, the enthusiasm, the warmth of everyone who visited us was just overwhelming.”
Building Community Connections
Severs also highlighted the welcoming nature of the Ilkley business community and her hopes for contributing to the local economy. “The fact we're able to open a second shop right now feels like positive news for small businesses and our high streets,” she remarked, indicating the supportive atmosphere for independent shops during challenging economic times.
A Bright Future
Sarah Brookfield-Almond, the Ilkley Business Improvement District manager, welcomed the bakery as a significant addition to the local independent business scene, stating it gives more reasons for people to visit their town. The bakery not only offers delectable treats but also features a dedicated space for wedding cake consultations, with additional services launching in September.
With operating hours from Monday to Saturday, Three Little Birds Bakery is set to become a focal point in Ilkley's vibrant community, promoting local unity and enjoyment of quality baked goods.
