Thanks to a GoFundMe campaign initiated by local resident Alex McCormick, an impressive £250,000 was raised to support the library. This significant amount allowed for a total refurbishment of the facility, which had originally benefitted from the Liverpool City Region Mayor Steve Rotheram’s Town Centre Fund. The library reopened its doors in December 2024, resuming its role as the heart of the neighborhood.
