Residents Split Over Exciting New Waste Management Initiative in Richmondshire

In an innovative approach to waste management, North Yorkshire Council is rolling out approximately 50,000 new recycling bins across the Richmondshire area. Revolutionary Waste Collection Strategy

Under the new system, households will experience alternate fortnightly recycling collections, which will separate paper and card from other recyclable materials, such as glass, cans, plastics, and cartons. Furthermore, 85% find the process easy to navigate. Councillor Richard Foster emphasized the importance of adapting the recycling service to ensure it is economically viable and effective in fostering higher recycling rates.
