Solihull Council Achieves Remarkable 'Good' Rating in Adult Social Care Services

In a significant achievement, Solihull Council has been awarded a 'good' rating for its adult social care services by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), positioning it among the top five local authorities in the country. This accolade reflects the council's continuous dedication to serving its community effectively.

Outstanding Community Support Recognized

The CQC's assessment, which took place last year and included an onsite inspection in November, underscored the council's commitment to high standards in care services. The official report, published on March 18, revealed that Solihull scored an impressive 84 percent in its evaluation, highlighting the council's excellent performance across nine quality areas.

Leadership and Community Engagement

Chris Badger, CQC’s chief inspector of adult social care, praised the leadership team within Solihull for their understanding of local needs and their proactive planning for future challenges. The assessment found that a culture of valuing staff contributed significantly to achieving positive outcomes for residents. The council's initiatives, including community advice hubs and strong support for voluntary organizations, played a pivotal role in connecting with underserved populations.
