Spring's Joyful Arrival: Farms Celebrate the Birth of Lambs This Easter Weekend

One of the highlights comes from Baylham House Farm, located on the outskirts of Ipswich, where visitors were fortunate enough to witness the birth of a baby lamb right on Good Friday. Born at 10:15 am, this new Llanwenog lamb, weighing close to four kilos, will soon join its peers in the nursery. The farm is also hosting an Easter lamb holding event, allowing guests to engage directly with these adorable newborns through April 12th. A spokesperson mentioned a range of activities available, including grooming for pigs, ponies, and goats, and the opportunity to meet other animals, enhancing the overall experience for families visiting the farm.

Kentwell Hall: A Twin Delight

Over at Kentwell Hall, the lamb count is even more impressive, with over 120 lambs born recently. Staff have celebrated the arrival of numerous twins and even sets of triplets and quads. Many of the older lambs are now frolicking in the fields, while the newly born remain under the watchful eyes of their mothers in the stable yard. One particularly endearing story is that of 'Biscuit,' a beloved resident sheep who has adopted a new lamb, showcasing the nurturing spirit prevalent in the farm community.

Easton Farm Park has not been left behind, witnessing the birth of two sets of triplets. The staff expressed their excitement about presenting these healthy lambs to visitors, alongside an array of other baby animals including piglets and chicks.
