Salcedo emphasized that the growing demand for aid underscores an urgent need for community-focused initiatives. "We are proud to provide support for many wonderful efforts and events in Central Oregon," he noted, indicating the increasing importance of such funding in today's society.
Highlighting Impactful Recipients
One of the notable recipients, Open Door Ministries, received a $5,000 Basic Needs grant. Her long-standing commitment to service reflects the deep-rooted philanthropic spirit in the area. "I've worked here almost 40 years. I do it because you just look around and see the need. It's huge. It makes me feel good and hopefully it touches someone's life in a positive way," Hartman expressed, epitomizing the heart of community service.
