A Celebrated Nominee
The Big Retreat stands proudly among six other notable finalists, including the King's Cross Summer Sounds and Shambala Festival. With public voting ongoing until November 3, anticipation builds as festival-goers rally in support of their favorite events, with winners to be announced on December 1.
Record Year and Growing Popularity
This recent nomination comes on the heels of another accolade, as The Big Retreat is also a finalist for the Most Transformational Retreat at the Retreat Standards Organisation awards, with results set to be revealed on November 19. This year has been exceptional for the festival, as it saw a remarkable 42 percent increase in attendance, reaching its capacity.
Expanding Horizons
The success of The Big Retreat has inspired the launch of a second festival at the Abbots Ripton Estate in Cambridgeshire, demonstrating its expanding influence. Nearly 2,500 tickets for the 2027 event were sold even before the line-up was announced, emphasizing the festival’s strong community support.
A Unique Experience
The Big Retreat offers more than 500 experiences over its four-day span, emphasizing the motto "Feel Good – Your Way." Attendees can enjoy a blend of live music, comedy, wellness activities like yoga and wild swimming, with around 80 percent of experiences included in the ticket price.
A Grateful Acknowledgment
Co-founder Amber Lort-Phillips expressed heartfelt gratitude for the community's support, highlighting that this recognition extends beyond the festival itself to include local suppliers, volunteers, and businesses that contribute to the experience. She invites everyone who has felt uplifted by The Big Retreat to lend their support through voting.
The Big Retreat Festival promises to return to Lawrenny from May 28 to 31, 2027, with tickets currently available for purchase. This event not only celebrates music and wellness but also fosters community engagement and connection.
