The Exciting Feel Good Festival Brings Joy to Exeter This May!

Exeter is set to host a vibrant community event aimed at enhancing wellbeing and fostering connections among residents. The Feel Good Festival, organized by the community group Wonford Health Matters, will take place at the Wonford Community and Learning Centre and Wonford Playing Fields on Saturday, May 16, from 11 am to 2 pm.

A Grant for Community Wellness

The festival has been made possible with the support of a £900 Exeter Community grant awarded by the Exeter City Council. This funding plays a crucial role in ensuring that the festival remains a free event, allowing families and individuals of all ages to participate without financial barriers.

Activities for Everyone

Attendees can look forward to an array of exciting activities designed to promote physical health and community spirit. The festival will feature free food and drink, face painting, a bouncy castle, and engaging sessions like football with City Community Trust. Additionally, there will be dance and singing performances, art workshops, and opportunities to explore new sports.

Connecting with Wellbeing

The organizers emphasize the importance of the five ways to wellbeing: connecting, being active, learning/creating, giving, and taking notice. During the festival, various taster sessions and demonstrations will provide attendees with valuable insights into how they can enhance their wellbeing and connect with others in the community.

As preparations for the Feel Good Festival continue, the Wonford Community and Learning Centre invites everyone to join in this joyous celebration of health and happiness. For more information about the event schedule, visit their website.
