Transform Your Health: Join the Inspiring Outdoor Wellbeing Festival
An exciting outdoor wellbeing festival promises a day filled with music, learning, and inspiration for all in the community. Scheduled to take place at Booths Park in Knutsford, the event, known as The Health Edit, aims to promote brain health and well-being while raising funds for Alzheimer’s research.
Community Heroes Behind the Festival
This remarkable initiative is spearheaded by GP Claire Milton and Northwich teacher Vic Massey. Both women have personal ties to Alzheimer's, motivating them to create a supportive environment where knowledge and community can thrive. Vic’s late mother, Margaret Massey, inspired the fundraising efforts that have already raised over £10,000 for Alzheimer’s-related charities through various fitness challenges.
Innovative Approach to Brain Health
Vic expressed, “This time, we wanted to do something different. As well as raising money for Alzheimer’s research, we want to open up the conversation around brain health. We want to give people access to good, evidence-based information about things we can all do to look after our brains.” This commitment to educating the public makes The Health Edit not just a festival, but a movement for positive change.
A Day Full of Activities for Everyone
The festival will feature activities that cater to all ages. Local fitness instructors, wellbeing practitioners, expert speakers, and musicians will gather to make it an enjoyable experience for families. Participants can expect to engage in sound baths, yoga sessions, reiki, and breathing exercises, which are all designed to enhance wellbeing.
Expert Insights and Evening Celebrations
Highlighting the day will be a virtual appearance by Dr. Tommy Wood, author of "The Stimulated Mind," who will discuss dementia prevention followed by a Q&A session. The event's structure encourages relaxation and learning in the morning, with family-oriented activities planned for the afternoon. As the sun sets, attendees can unwind at a celebration featuring drinks and a DJ, capping off a day dedicated to health, knowledge, and community spirit.
Tickets for the various sessions are available for those interested in participating. To learn more about the event or to secure your spot, visit The Health Edit booking page.
