Transforming Noida: Major Infrastructure Upgrades Ahead of Airport Opening
Noida is set to undergo significant changes as the Noida Authority has unveiled plans for a robust infrastructure expansion aimed at accommodating the anticipated surge in traffic with the impending opening of the Noida International Airport. This initiative reflects a proactive approach to urban planning and congestion management in the region.
Expansion of the Yamuna Pushta Corridor
At the forefront of the expansion efforts is the plan to upgrade the Yamuna Pushta road into an expansive 8-10 lane corridor. Initially, the road will be constructed as a six-lane facility, but with future expansion capabilities being integrated from the outset. This strategic enhancement is designed to streamline traffic flow between key sectors in Noida and surrounding areas.
New Elevated Roads for Improved Connectivity
In addition to the upgrades on the Yamuna Pushta road, plans are in place to develop the Chilla elevated road, along with a new link connecting the Mahamaya Flyover to the Pushta road. These new routes are anticipated to ease traffic movement across vital transit routes, ensuring that mobility remains efficient even with increased demand.
Direct Access to Jewar Airport
One of the most exciting components of the infrastructural changes is the proposed six-lane elevated road that will span 31.2 km from the Okhla Barrage near Sector 94 to the Yamuna Expressway near Gharbara village. This corridor is expected to provide a direct route from Delhi to the upcoming Jewar Airport, significantly reducing travel time and alleviating pressure on existing road networks.
Quick Implementation and Future Forecast
The feasibility study for these ambitious projects is being conducted by Almondz Global Infra, with completion expected within a 24-month timeframe. Once implemented, these enhancements will not only facilitate smoother travel but will also contribute to the overall economic growth of the region as connectivity improves.
As these plans unfold, residents and travelers in Noida can look forward to a future where traffic congestion is effectively managed, all while enhancing access to critical infrastructures such as the new international airport.
