UK Offshore Energy Sector Celebrates Collaboration and Awards at Share Fair 2026
The UK offshore energy industry gathered recently to recognize outstanding contributions to supply chain collaboration during the annual Share Fair event, held on March 19, 2026, at Aberdeen’s P&J Live venue. The event brought together around 600 participants from various sectors, spotlighting the importance of cooperation in driving business opportunities within the energy supply chain.
Recognizing Excellence in Supply Chain Collaboration
Offshore Energies UK (OEUK) presented the coveted Supply Chain Principles awards during this gathering, aimed at honoring companies that have shown a commendable commitment to fostering robust relationships within their supply chains. The awards were a result of feedback collected from the industry’s biennial 'Working as One' survey, emphasizing the principles of fair risk allocation, timely payment practices, and transparent visibility of future projects.
Impressive Growth in Gold Award Recipients
This year marked a notable increase in the number of companies attaining gold awards, with 15 purchasing companies achieving this esteemed recognition. The rapid rise reflects a significant evolution in procurement practices among oil and gas operators, wind developers, and major contractors. Katy Heidenreich, OEUK’s supply chain and people director, highlighted that more firms are now utilizing LOGIC Standard Contracts, encouraging consistent and straightforward negotiations across the North Sea basin.
A Promising Future for the Energy Supply Chain
Andy Brooks, the NSTA Director of New Ventures, who presented the awards, expressed his satisfaction with the level of collaborative behavior displayed by companies, emphasizing that the number of firms awarded gold has tripled over the past three years. This gathering not only served as a platform for recognition but also fostered discussions on future collaborations that could further enhance the health of the supply chain in the energy sector.
As the UK endeavors towards energy security and sustainability, events like Share Fair 2026 play a crucial role in connecting key players, sharing knowledge, and forging partnerships that ultimately contribute to a thriving and resilient offshore energy landscape.
