Unlocking Opportunities: Armagh's Inspiring Enterprise Week 2026
There's an air of optimism as Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough prepares for its much-anticipated Enterprise Week 2026, scheduled from November 16 to 20. Under the theme "Entrepreneurs Thrive Here," this year’s programme promises a series of free events designed to inspire, inform, and support local entrepreneurs and business owners.
A Platform for Resilience and Reinvention
The week kicks off at The Palace in Armagh with an opening event featuring entrepreneur Kieran Kelly. His talk, titled 'When ‘Plan A’ Disappears,' will delve into powerful themes of resilience and reinvention, showcasing how unexpected challenges can create new opportunities for growth and success.
Empowering Conversations and Learning Opportunities
Highlights from the week’s programme include discussions around critical business issues such as succession planning and the wellbeing of entrepreneurs. Notably, a panel event featuring accomplished local female entrepreneurs like Laura Vogan and Charlene McKinstry will provide insights and inspiration for aspiring business leaders.
Embracing Innovation: A Digital Skills Focus
The final day of Enterprise Week will emphasize the importance of digital skills for modern businesses. A dedicated digital skills day will feature hands-on workshops on topics including AI-powered marketing and podcasting, aimed at equipping attendees with the tools needed to thrive in today’s digital landscape.
Community Commitment and Future Growth
As noted by Councillor Mary O’Dowd, Enterprise Week is about much more than just business advice; it's a celebration of community, resilience, and the entrepreneurial spirit. The week encourages all—whether seasoned business owners or newcomers—to engage, share their stories, and find inspiration in the journeys of others.
The Enterprise Week programme represents the Council's ongoing commitment to fostering local enterprise and innovation. With participation and enthusiasm from the community, this initiative serves as a vital stepping stone for businesses looking to build resilience and confidence in the face of change.
