Vietnam Takes Bold Steps to Preserve Endangered Primates and Stunning Landscapes

In an inspiring move to safeguard some of the world's most endangered wildlife, Vietnam is establishing the Kim Bang Delacour’s Langur Habitat Conservation Area. Spanning approximately 7,500 acres, this new reserve will not only protect the critically-endangered Delacour's langur but also enhance the ecological beauty of North Vietnam's landscape.

The Delacour’s langur, named after the French biologist who first identified it, faces dire challenges, with its population dwindling to around 250 individuals spread across just 17 groups.
