During her appearance on The Evening Show, Violet explained that the song was inspired by a t-shirt featuring the phrase ‘$5.95 per call’ from a vintage phone line ad that her father tried to hide. The idea emerged as the Grohl family shared a laugh, triggering a collaborative spark that would lead to Violet's debut track. “It says ‘$5.95 per call,’ and there were so many little lines on the shirt that were just so perfect. We were like, ‘This is incredible. We should write a song about this!’” she said.
